Description

Built in April 1976, finished in Richelieu Red, which was actually a new colour for the Rover SD1, this car is one of the last P6B’s to go down the production line, possibly as the first SD1’s was being built.

NMV666P was optioned with Power Steering, but no radio! Today, the fact that the roof is aerial free, somehow adds to the purity of the P6B’s form.

Velour seats, which are virtually unmarked, are a real blast back to the 70’s, comfortable, and cool, even on a hot day.

When we purchased the car at a recorded 14000 miles, we gave it a full service, tending to a few electrical and minor mechanical issues.

On inspection, we realised that despite the lack of history, a lot of the paintwork appeared original and moreover, the underside of the car was both solid and had not needed any attention in regard to rust / corrosion. There is evidence that the car had been treated to a cavity rustproofing.

The original glass, with the car’s registration etched into them, original badges and under bonnet labels and stickers, grew our confidence that the car was a rare find.

Just 3 owners in 50 years, this 3500S has clearly been cherished throughout its long life.

We have driven the car to and from shows, covering nearly 2000 trouble free miles. The car is a delight to drive, and it was our intention to keep this incredible example as a car to take to shows. With our business growing, space is in demand and this is why the car is available.
