⭕ VEHICLE SUMMARY
A V12 grand tourer blending balanced styling, a lavish cabin and performance.
Backed by newfound financial stability, Aston Martin developed the steel-bodied DB7 through a surge of innovation, leveraging technical expertise from Jaguar and Ford. As a clean-sheet design with no ties to the models of the past, this flagship marked a bold new era for the marque. The Jaguar based straight-six engine was developed and built by TWR drawing on their expertise with the European Touring Car racing XJS. The DB7 was introduced to universal acclaim for it’s looks and performance. Autocar said “The last time the UK produced a sporting car of such beauty, Jaguar called it the E Type” It was available either as a coupé or a convertible with automatic or manual transmission. Sales rose quickly and the DB7 became the brand's most successful model to date, propelled by its competitive pricing, Ian Callum’s masterfully balanced styling, and unmistakable Aston Martin character.
The later DB7 Vantage was defined by its all-new, Cosworth developed 6 litre V12 engine, which delivered a formidable 420 hp through either an automatic or the rare, driver focused TREMEC T56 six-speed manual gearbox. The result is a 0 – 60 time of just under 5 seconds and a top speed of 185mph (convertibles and automatic cars are limited to 165mph). While it retained the gracefully proportioned silhouette of the original DB7, the Vantage is distinguished by its revised wing mirrors, larger grille and fog lamps. Renowned for its high-quality finish, mechanical integrity, and consistent reliability, the DB7 Vantage effectively established the blueprint for the modern Aston Martin era.
Smartly presented, this 2000 Aston Martin DB7 Vantage is finished in Silver Metallic over a black leather interior. This particular example features the highly sought-after six-speed manual gearbox, a rare factory configuration shared by only 250 units.
With a recorded mileage reading of just ~37,492 miles, it's clear to see the car has been cherished by its current owner for the last ~12.5 years. Its mechanical pedigree is confirmed by 13 main dealer service stamps and a comprehensive history file including £30,000 worth of invoices dating back to 2005. The vehicle is sold with an MOT valid until October 2026 and includes its original owner’s wallet, a digital workshop manual, and three keys.
