2007 JAGUAR XK

A genuinely lovely 2007 Jaguar XK 4.2 V8 Coupe in classic black with 20" alloys. Lots of work recently done on the car and now reluctantly for sale.

I've owned this car for 5 years and have only added ~12,000 miles in that time. Total mileage is 101,140. The car has been very enjoyable to own, but with our first baby on the way we need something more practical.

I’ve put around £5,000 into the car over the past few months to make sure it's the best example available at this price point. The car has always been reliable and functional, but these were aesthetic or wear-and-tear issues that needed to be addressed:

- New tyres

- Refurbished alloys

- New battery

- New headliner

- Replaced the engine mount

- Body panels replaced to address some light scratches

- Full service and wheel alignment

- Headlamp housing sand and polish

- Replaced sensors

Mostly full service history with a good record of historical documents and invoices. 6 months MOT remaining. When I bought the car it needed a new water pump, which I diagnosed and had done. Since then it has been completely reliable; never broken down, no issues, easy and enjoyable to drive.

This is a 19 year old car and there are some outstanding issues which I want to be upfront about:

- The A/C compressor needs replacement and the system doesn't currently work. This was the case when I bought the car and I haven’t had it fixed.

- There is some light rust bubbling on the boot, a known XK issue. It hasn't progressed during my ownership so I haven’t addressed it.

- There is a "Check Pedestrian System" warning on the dash. All sensors have been recently replaced which did not clear the fault. An auto electrician confirmed the car now just needs a Jaguar dealer software update (estimated £300 – £500). I've struggled to get a Jaguar dealer slot, so I'm happy to discount the price by that amount for a buyer who'd prefer to handle it themselves.

This is a beautiful car that turns heads despite its age. The 4.2 V8 is one of Jaguar's most reliable engines, the ride is comfortable, and it's a genuinely enjoyable car to drive.
