1980 TRIUMPH TR 7

First registered 01.05.1980, this 46 year old car has had only five previous owners (three in the first three years). In 1985 it was professionally converted to a 3.5 V8 by Grinnall using a Rover SD1 engine fitted with a hi-lift cam, vented brake discs and 4 pot brake cylinders (the car is on the Grinnall register). During the same thirty eight year ownership, in 1990 the car was completely rebuilt and resprayed. Having been dry stored since it has maintained a great presentation both inside and out. More recently in 2023, the car received new 15” wheels, new master and slave cylinders, new 4 pot brakes and vented discs, new roof hood, new radiator and a new electric fan. Whilst preparing this car for sale, the gearbox mounting bushes and clutch have been replaced.

The car is ready to drive away and enjoy another summer. Final improvements if so required are period door mirrors (provided, replacement of one popper on the hood, replace ‘hockey stick’ plastic front spoiler section. The matching set of Continental tyres have good tread but show some signs of age so I recommend they are change. (This has been considered in the price).
