1992 Porsche

This is an immaculate and completely original unmodified left hand drive example that has covered 68,000 miles and comes with a full service history from new. All body panels are original as is the paintwork and all factory stickers are in place. It is extremely rare to find an example like this – most have been modified and tracked in the years when values were low before being returned to original specification as values climbed.

The car was supplied new to the Japanese market hence the C 008 country designation on the under-bonnet factory sticker. It was very carefully used and maintained whilst there as indicated in the extensive service history on file and by the amazingly good condition it was found to be in upon inspection following its arrival into the UK in 2015.

Upon arrival the car was quickly sold to the last owner, a Porsche enthusiast who has owned many models from the marque over the years. Following purchase, he sent the RS to his preferred specialist, the highly regarded Precision Porsche in Sussex for a full inspection. A major service was completed and the engine removed for replacement of all tin wear, an engine bay detail and new clutch. No other shortcomings were noted, however they noted how good and original the underside was, which is often found to be the case with Japanese cars.

Since then, the RS has been carefully used in fine weather and has continued to be maintained by Precision Porsche as detailed in invoicing on file. Indeed, a further inspection and service with correction of any faults has recently been completed.

The car performed beautifully on a recent test drive, exhibiting the verve, tautness and sheer animate drivetrain that are part of the 964 RS legend. There is no doubt that the left hand drive configuration enhances the experience, no power steering greatly enhances steering directness and feel whilst sitting in a straight line without the offset pedals of the RHD cars is simply better.
