Description
1990 964 Carrera 2 Manual, Non Sun roof, HPi clear, C16 UK RHD. Detailed description below, but please feel free to call.
1990 Porsche 964 3.8 / AT Power ITB / Schrik Cams / DTAFast80 ECU / 993 6 Speed G50/21 Gearbox. 964 RS LSD/Engine Mounts/Brakes
C2 Manual, non sunroof, C16, HPi clear. Total rust free, glass out paint in 2017 was barely used since then.
ULEZ exempt. 340bhp G50/21 3.8, 993 6 Speed. AT Power shaftless ITB just been rebuilt, stripped and refitted. Schrick cams and standalone DTA s80 ECU just been mapped again by Wayne Schofield. 340bhp. We had more power on a few runs but feel this is a nice useable. No fuel/lean problems, basically no stalling and bunnyhoppin in traffic, perfectly useable day to day.
JE Racing Pistons & Rings, ARP Head bolts, Inlets mildy flowed, new rockers arms, new one piece timing chain, bespoke engine harness to ECU with Twin coil and wasted spark. New engine tinware.
964 - RS Clutch and Flywheel, RS engine mounts, RS LSD, RS Front Brakes, C4 Rears. Brakes are running a brand new electric pump Hella 5.0 Gold kit to replace the vacuum feeds from the ITBs. PSS10s, Adjustable top mounts, Fabspeed Headers/Exhaust, OZ Wheels and Cups. Brand New Pole Positions, Rear Cage, Perspex Rear window and rear sides. CAE Short shift, final drive 4-1 this thing is a Torque monster. Pulls like a maniac in every gear. 30mph in 6 gear pulls very well indeed. And the sound of the induction from those AT powers has to be experienced.
By seperate negotiation it can come with OEM deck lid, Cup 1 wheels with very good PS2 tyres. Oem complete plenum intake/ injectors etc if you wish to revert to standard plenum and sell the ITB's, complete exhaust, centre console and gear knob, few boxes of other trims etc.
I bought the car from a collector, he had every RS from 2.7 through to 991.2 and quite a few 911 hot rods. He originaly bought this car from Strasse back in 2015 and had them paint it for him in 2017. He then had the engine built in 2018 and did 1 trip to Lemans and parked it back at home until I bought it in 2024. I drove it 2800 on a Pyrenees trip 2 up with luggage with zero issues through the mountains and motorways car was spot on. Came home and it went into storage, think I have maybe driven it 500 miles since. I would imagine since the motor was built its less than 5000 miles total. Its only covered 7k miles since 2017. When i came home after the trip, in Jan 2025 the car was mapped by Wayne and we got just over 350bhp out of it. Decided to rebuild the AT powers and address the brake servo, essentially the AT powers run vacuum of a minimum of 2 bodies to the brakes, technically it should be all six but that creates some balance issues in its own right, so we have ditched that and added a Hella 5.0 pump which is the largest they sell, originally it was built for an Aston DB11. Brakes are pin sharp, never had brakes like it in an aircooled, absolutey superb upgrade. Motor and gearbox are bone dry and there are zero leaks or "they all do that sir" puffs of smoke on start from dripping oil lines. Ive had my share of 964's that have their antique quirks. This is a special build
I have now partially left the UK so the car will just sit in storage hence offering for sale as I have other cars that need my attention and suit my current use case more sadly. Number plate will be retained.
