The factory options shown on the Heritage Build Certificate indicate that the car was finished in Triumph White with a Black ambla interior, Black vinyl Soft Top, 60 Spoke Wire Wheels, Overdrive Gearbox, Heater and 165 x 15 Michelin XAS Tyres. It had one further owner before being purchased by a Dr Nigel Harris in Esher, Surrey in February 1994 and he commissioned Triumph TR specialists 'Enginuity' to carry out a restoration on the car which was carried out between 1997 and 1999 with further invoices for works in 2000, all totalling almost £15,000 - a not insignificant sum back then - and works included a full engine rebuild, new suspension and steering components, numerous mechanical upgrades and much more. The mileage on the speedometer after the completion of these works in May 2000 was 12,260. Dr Harris kept the car for a further two years covering only 1,330 miles and then gave us the car to sell on his behalf. We subsequently sold the car to a Mr B Carpenter in September 2002 with 13,590 miles recorded on the speedometer, and after a couple of weeks he commissioned Enginuity to fit a new Classic Leather Seats and new a full new interior in Matador Red, plus many other new trim parts and a full service which all came to £4,924.43. After this, he took the car to County Clare in Ireland and the car was registered there. Mr Carpenter kept the car for 3 years in Ireland covering 4,775 miles during this time and he gave it back to us to sell for him in May 2005. We sold the car again to another Mr Harris in Welwyn Garden City in May 2005 with 18,365 miles recorded and he has kept the car for the last 21 years, having the car serviced and MOT'd almost every year by the same garage - Moordale Motors in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire during this time and covering 8,342 miles during his ownership. The speedometer now reads 25,770 which means it has covered 13,510 miles since it was rebuilt by Enginuity. The car comes with a ring-binder full of invoices, all MOT certificates, old Tax Discs, Heritage Certificate and TR Register documentation and ownership history including V5's and sales invoices. The car is still in exceptional condition throughout and really does need to be seen and driven to be fully appreciated. NB: A full set of photograph's and a video will follow upon completion of our showroom preparation. Upon sale, it will receive our own 55-point pre-delivery inspection and come with a new MOT + our 6-month mechanical warranty, extendable on request. Naturally, the car benefits from Historic Vehicle status, meaning Road Tax Free, MOT Exempt, and ULEZ Compliant. Now available for viewing at our showrooms in Mortlake, South West London.
