Description
Well the time has sadly come to sell my Lotus Esprit GT3 owing to being terminally ill. I know I’m just not going to be able to use it nearly as much as I’d like.
I’ve owned it 11 years from when it had just 18k miles on the clock and I’ve always garaged it; it’s now done 46k miles and has been well looked after by Max Hurst of Top Gear / the Grand Tour TV Specials (he supported the V8 on the Patagonia Special and then subsequently stayed with the team).
2.0 litre charge cooled Lotus 920 engine, 240bhp, 0-60 in 5 secs, first registered 1997, 4 former keepers, MoT to March 2027, huge history file, only 196 GT3’s built. Leather seats, air con, removable targa roof section, Cobra alarm and immobiliser, Bluetooth DAB stereo (plus still have original Alpine stereo).
Stunning calypso red paintwork that really pops in sunlight.
Widely regarded as the most sorted and driveable of all the Esprit variants. Absolute Lotus magazine June 23: “you’ll be rewarded with one of the finest driving experiences going, not by the lofty standards of the Esprit, but of all time”.
