2016 CATERHAM

Caterham Seven 160 the ultimate lightweight variant, with a kerb weight of approx. 490kg.

At first, you could be mistaken for thinking that its 3 cylinder 12 valve 660cc Suzuki engine will provide limited entertainment, but with the added benefit of turbocharging this seven is quite the entertainer.

In the true spirit of Colin Chapman's power to weight thinking, it is very capable in the hands of a committed driver. The turbocharged engine also enables a good amount of mid-range torque, when you rather progress more sedately whilst avoiding constant gear changes to keep it going.

Registered 03/08/2016, this is one owner from new with exceptionally low mileage at 1500 miles.

At the time of registration there was no “S” designated car available, but Caterham did put together what they coined as the "S pack" specification, which for an additional £2995, included a fully carpeted interior, a proper windscreen and windows, leather seats, a Momo detachable steering wheel and heater. All of which this example has, plus a heated windscreen and the benefit of full weather gear for the days when the weather catches you out. In addition, it also has a rear tonneau cover. So, the specification is “S” and more!

The car is very clean and presentable, as you would expect from such a low milage example.
