1985 FORD TRANSIT

1985 Ford Transit Mk2 3.0 V6 Chassis Cab. Was previously a motorhome but has had had an original back panel reinstated. Its fully UK registered and LHD but we have most of the parts to convert to RHD. It starts runs and drives but will obviously need some work (like a body) before its put back on the road.Body - Front cab is very good and never been welded. Chassis has been stretched presumably when it was made into a motorhome. Chassis is also rock solid. Doors and bonnet are really good, as are the sills and steps. Very original old truck.Mechanics - Original factory 3.0 V6 which starts and is as quiet as a church mouse. overdrive gearbox which works. We have only driven it round the industrial estate but brakes and clutch are good. Steering feels tight. Not been used properly for years so will need a good service and a bit recommissioning. the parts included to change to RHD are steering box and column, bulkhead strengthening bracket, wiper linkage, steering linkages.Interior - All pretty basic and standard apart from a set of Granada instruments fitted with the rev counter. The originals are also with it.Wheels - Original steels with a mix of good / bad tyres. Not sure how old they are. You are welcome to come and see it. Delivery can be arranged if required.
