For sale is my 2005 Honda Civic Type R (EP3) – an exceptionally well maintained and increasingly rare example of Honda’s iconic hot hatch.

Built in Swindon (Honda Manufacturing UK) and powered by the legendary 2.0 i VTEC K20 engine, the EP3 delivers one of the most engaging driving experiences of its era. With low mileage, excellent maintenance history, and tasteful improvements, this is a standout example.

Maintenance & Condition

• Extensive rust proofing undertaken – underside is very clean and behind the speakers inside have been rust proofed.

• Over £4,200 spent at a Honda main dealership, including servicing since I bought the car in October 2024.

• Excellent mechanical condition – pulls hard through the rev range

• Interior is clean and well cared for, with genuine Type R branded mats.

• Bodywork presents very well, with only light age related marks, the bonnet has been wrapped in black to guard against stone chips.

• Service history is consistent with the mileage as is the MOT history – there are Service records available from 2007 yearly to 2018, the car was next serviced in 2020, having covered 5,500 miles, then MOT’s show in 2021 and 2022 when the car did just 234 miles, then a service in 2023 with another 1 mile added, I purchased it in October 2024, when it has then had 3 services undertaken and the last MOT was Sept 2025 at 49930 miles.
