The car has been used as a track-focused vehicle and is currently not road registered/legal, although the specification may make IVA completion possible for the next owner.

Major recent work carried out by Charles Dunn Motor Engineers includes:

• Installation of American Speed small-block Chevy V8 crate engine

• Re-Installation of professionally rebuilt Porsche G50 gearbox

• Full suspension geometry setup

• Bump steer correction/setup

• Replaced brake lines

• Replacement electrical wiring work

The Porsche G50 gearbox was professionally rebuilt by BS Motorsport Ltd in 2022.

Engine Specification:

• 2022 American Speed 475hp small-block Chevy V8

• Fresh crate engine installed in 2024

• Aluminium cylinder heads

• Forged 10.0:1 compression pistons

• Edelbrock intake manifold

• Roller camshaft

• Steel crankshaft

• Steel connecting rods

• Road race oil sump

• Runs on 91–93 octane unleaded fuel

• Very little use since installation

Additional Specification:

• Significant recent engineering expenditure (over £30k).

• All major parts except the engine were bought new from Ultima around 2000/2001. I still have these receipts.

• 1971 engine block (potential IVA emissions advantage)

• Professionally finished fibreglass bodywork

• Track-used and mechanically sorted

The car starts, runs, and drives well and is essentially track ready.

Cosmetically, the bodywork is presentable but shows some age-related marks, stone chips, and minor fibreglass imperfections consistent with track use. It could be taken to an excellent cosmetic standard without major work if desired.

Items still requiring attention:

• Gear linkage needs adjustment

• Instruments would benefit from updating

• New tyres recommended

This is a serious, well-developed Ultima with high-quality recent mechanical work, ideal either as a track car or as the basis for IVA/road registration completion.

Ownership & Background:

The original intention with the car was to complete it for road use, however life and work commitments meant the project was never fully finished after the initial build period around 2000, and the car remained garage stored for many years.

Between 2022–2024, substantial professional mechanical work was carried out by Charles Dunn Motorsport Engineers to properly complete and sort the car mechanically, including installation of the fresh American Speed V8, rebuilt Porsche G50 gearbox, suspension geometry setup, brake lines, and electrical work.

IVA requirements — particularly around noise and emissions — have become significantly stricter since the original build period, and I have decided not to pursue road registration. However, the car uses a 1971 engine block which may potentially allow a more favourable IVA emissions test should a future owner wish to explore this route.

The car is now effectively a mechanically sorted track-focused Ultima that could either continue as a track car or potentially be developed further by the next owner.

Sale is purely due to changing priorities and a lack of time, rather than any issue with the car itself.
