1974 FORD ESCORT

1974 MK1 RS2000 in Modena green, with darker green stripes. This car is showing 45310 miles , has had 15 previous owners and is a restored car. It was restored a few years ago but doesnt appear to have been used since as underneath is spotless. We have the V5 stating RS2000 and loads of receipts for money spent on the car. Everything has either been renewed or refurbished. It starts runs and drives but as mentioned has been virtually unused since the restoration. This car was originally blue but the owner had a blue one already so changed the colour to green.Body - Mk1 RS2000 with all the correct brackets and strengthening. Underneath is absolutely solid and is all painted body colour. No signs of repairs or patching. Any work thats been done has been done properly. Paintwork is lovely. Couple of minor bits of bubbling appearing on rear scuttle and osr arch. New headlights, bumpers, indicators, grille, window rubbers, door rubbers, rear lights. Mechanics - All looks to be standard spec with the correct RS mounts, sump, bellhousing, tramp bars, air filter etc, rs cast manifold. The car starts and runs and sounds well. Probably could do with the tappets resetting. Brakes clutch and gearbox are all good. Car has been polybushed, gaz rear shocks, lowering blocks, new rack, track control arms, NOS front Motocraft shocks, new calipers, flexis, brake pipes, fuel pipes. Stainless steel Janspeed exhaust. Basically everything mechanically has been rebuilt or replaced with new items. This car is super clean underneathInterior - Correct RS seats which have been retrimmed. Back seats also retrimmed. New door cards, headlining. dash top is really good. 6 dial dash all working. Centre console fitted. washer pump is fitted on floor and is a bit near to clutch pedal so that needs moving a bit. Wheels - Probably the only thing that lets this car down is the alloys as they are refurbished Capri Laser ones. I have a set of proper steels but these would need refurbished before fitting.
