Description
Here we have my beloved MK3 Ford Focus ST-3, in "Tangerine Scream" (pre-facelift).
Absolutely perfect working order, 2.0L turbo charged engine, 247BHP. The engine is pretty much standard spec (not mapped), but it has a dump valve and recently had the symposer removed as it had perished. The exhaust is loud enough though... straight through exhaust with a sports cat, so its still MOT-able. Work / servicing and MOT's have only ever taken place at reputable garages and Ford Garages / technicians. The battery was replaced last year.
Interior is full leather, no scratches or holes, heated seats in the front with five settings. Front seats are adjusted electronically with switches on the side of the seats. Steering wheel is in really good condition, all buttons and functions fully working. Back seats haven't really been used. Carpets and roof liner are in perfect condition. Dash board is in full working order, with Sony sound system comprising BT connectivity and DAB. Door seals have been stuck down (permanently). The car has auto windscreen wipers, Bi-Xenon HID (D3S) headlights, which feature integrated LED daytime running light strips (all fully working).
Exterior is in very good condition with only a few very small paint chips on the front bonnet. The spoiler was added by a previous owner, "RS" recessed in the sides of the spoiler. The black against the yellow is a stand-out feature. 18" Alloy wheels are in reasonable condition, I replaced the "Ford" centre caps when I bought the car, but they could do with being replaced again.
Issues... not many!
- The notorious damp issue in the boot from a factory fault in most Focus' has been resolved (spent thousands stripping the entire interior out to dry), but small amount of damp has returned potentially due to the aftermarket spoiler. I don't think it's a difficult fix, I just don't have the time to investigate and put right :(
- The headlight / fog lamp control panel has a cracked in the outer housing, but the switch element is still stuck in place and works perfectly.
- All doors have the auto pop-out door edge protectors, but the front passenger side is missing and always has been missing since ownership.
- Driver side windscreen weather strip moulding has suddenly decided to spring up in the top corner. Again, I think this is an easy fix, but I have no time to tinker.
All in all this is an absolutely glorious car. And I guarantee you will not stop grinning when you drive it.
