Overview
There's something about a supercharged V8 saloon. That linear surge of power arriving with an almost analogue honesty, the compact centrifugal compressor adding assistance so seamlessly you'd barely know it was there. Alpina understood this, and with the B5 S, the engineers at Buchloe built what remains one of the most compelling performance saloons of the late 2000s: a hand-assembled, 530bhp, 535lb ft expression of everything they'd learned about making fast cars feel special.
The B5 S took the E60 platform and did what Alpina has always done best. A supercharged 4.4-litre V8, a bespoke six-speed Switch-Tronic automatic gearbox developed with ZF, signature Alpina alloys, recalibrated suspension, and an interior finished to Alpina's own exacting standards. Production numbers were tiny, and just 12 right-hand-drive saloons made it to the UK. Finding one at all is an event and finding one that's been properly cared for is a joy.
This Titanium Silver example wears Burgundy leather inside, a combination that suits the car's discreet character perfectly. In current ownership since June 2015, it's covered just over 128,000 miles and arrives having had serious investment. The supercharger has been professionally rebuilt and upgraded with hybrid ceramic bearings and a billet compressor wheel and a full service was completed in April 2026. Any stone chips to the bonnet and front bumper were taken care of in 2025, the bodywork has been machine polished and ceramic coated, and the Alpina alloys have been freshly refurbished in their original finish. It presents very well indeed.
This is not a car that turns up at every auction. It's a hand-built Alpina with a supercharged V8, a devoted ownership history, and the kind of recent preparation that says the current keeper genuinely loves this thing. We think you might too.
