Description
There are fast Porsches, and then there are proper RS cars. The sort built not for boulevard posing, but for clipping apexes at impossible speed while your palms sweat through a pair of driving gloves. This, then, is one of those cars.
A 1995 Porsche 993 Carrera RS Clubsport, finished in the endlessly charismatic Riviera Blue and specified with the coveted M003 Clubsport package; one of just 227 believed to be produced. Built as a homologation special for the BPR GT3 and GT4 categories, this isn’t merely a lighter 911. It’s Porsche Motorsport distilled into something barely civilised enough for the road.
Delivered new to Austria and now residing in the United Kingdom, this left-hand-drive example remains wonderfully uncorrupted. The odometer reads just 39,000 kilometres, roughly 24,000 miles, and the condition reflects a life lived carefully, but correctly. Acquired by the current owner in 2018, the car has since benefitted from diligent maintenance, including extensive work carried out in June 2025 covering oil leaks, brakes, suspension components, spark plugs and fresh Michelin Pilot Sport 4S rubber.
The 993 RS Clubsport is all about intent. Seam-welded shell. Aluminium bonnet. Thinner glass. No carpets, no sound deadening, no unnecessary frippery. Instead, you get a factory Matter roll cage, Schroth six-point harnesses, fixed-back Recaros with body-colour shells, and that wonderfully serious leather-wrapped MOMO wheel sitting ahead of the trademark five-dial cluster.
Behind the rear axle sits Porsche’s magnificent M64/20 3.8-litre flat-six, complete with VarioRam induction, forged internals and Bosch Motronic management. Power is sent exclusively to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox and limited-slip differential — exactly as Stuttgart intended. No paddles. No modes. No nonsense.
Visually, it’s everything a proper RS should be. Riviera Blue over silver 18-inch Speedline split-rims, red brake calipers peering through the spokes, an adjustable rear wing, rolled arches and just enough aggression to let those in the know understand precisely what they’re looking at.
Crucially, this example was specified from factory with air conditioning, a rare nod to comfort in a car otherwise engineered with singular focus. The options sticker confirms the all-important 003 Clubsport designation, alongside the factory front strut brace, RS rear spoiler and deletion of airbags.
Few cars capture the analogue zenith of Porsche engineering quite like the 993 RS Clubsport. It represents the final air-cooled Rennsport formula before the digital age arrived with all its assists and compromises. Lightweight, tactile, noisy and utterly intoxicating, this is not simply one of the great 911s, it’s one of the great driver’s cars full stop.
Complete with Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, service records and UK registration, this is a rare opportunity to acquire one of Stuttgart’s finest homologation specials in one of its most iconic colours.
As ever, we have a full digital file available on request, including additional images, walkaround videos, and service history scans. The car is available to view by appointment at our West London showroom.
