2018 SEBRING MX

Finished in a stunning period combination of metallic red over ivory, this Sebring MX is believed to be the final factory-built example produced by Sebring International Ltd at the end of 2018. Originally supplied new to its first owner in the Channel Islands, the car cost in excess of £54,000 in UK specification, with the original sales receipt included within the history file.

Built using a 2000 BMW E46 donor vehicle, the car retains the superb BMW M54 straight-six engine along with the matching gearbox and differential. The donor car had covered below 37,000 miles, while the remainder of the vehicle was newly manufactured by Sebring International. The result is an exceptionally fresh, tight and well-engineered example that has seen very light use since completion.

The car was reimported and UK registered with V5 in 2024.

This example stands out thanks to its superb stance and factory specification. The optional stainless 16-inch wire wheels fill the arches perfectly and completely transform the look of the car, giving it the ideal restomod appearance while remaining faithful to the original Sebring styling inspiration. The proportions, ride height and overall presentation are spot on.

Performance is extremely impressive. Producing in excess of 240bhp in a car weighing approximately 1,100kg, it delivers serious pace alongside a smooth and characterful six-cylinder soundtrack. The exhaust note is exactly as a Healey-inspired roadster should sound deep, smooth and purposeful. It is an extremely fast and engaging car to drive, yet remains refined and very usable thanks to the dependable BMW running gear underneath.

The specification includes BMW M54 straight-six power, matching BMW gearbox and differential, stainless 16-inch wire wheels, disc brakes all round, double wishbone suspension, adjustable Gaz coilovers, stainless steel fuel tank, stainless luggage rack, stainless exhaust system, stainless headlamp surrounds, driving lamps, electric windows, heated seats, stereo system and a recently fitted new battery.

These factory-built Sebrings rarely come to market, particularly one of the very last examples produced. With production ceased and demand growing for analogue sports cars with modern reliability and performance, this represents a unique opportunity to acquire something genuinely special.
