Description

After twenty years, it’s time to let my lovely Caterham Seven go to a new home.
This little car has been part of my life for over two decades — countless smiles, sunny drives, and many memorable trips to Le Mans. It’s never been just a car; it’s been a hobby, and something I’ve actively looked after and cared for.
It’s a 1998 1.8 K-Series VVC, arguably the best in the K-Series range - very reliable, as it's not stressed - with smaller cams for low down grunt, and larger cams for high-revving thrills.
It has around 160 bhp and just over 21,000 miles. Always garaged, maintained regardless of cost, and serviced yearly by a Caterham specialist. I’ve spent a lot of time keeping the chassis in great condition and making sure the car stayed exactly how a Caterham should feel — light, raw, and hugely rewarding to drive.
A few tasteful upgrades include carbon fibre cycle wings, carbon stone guards, black windscreen pack and an uprated R500-spec clutch kit.
Selling won’t be easy, but the reality is I’m doing very few miles these days, and the car deserves to be driven and enjoyed by someone who’ll love it as much as I have.

Some of the main parts replaced during my ownership:
- Head gaskets, replaced twice (last time about 4 years ago)
- Water pump, replaced once
- All the belts, replaced 3 times
- Starter motor, replaced once
- Clutch cable (3 times)
Car MOT'd till May 2027, will be fully serviced before sale.
