EXTERIOR

911 GT2 conjures up all sorts of wonderful history and is a significant cornerstone of Porsche Motorsport heritage. Although the naturally aspirated GT3 / RS models continue to be a success story – Turbocharged 911s have always forged their own path and none more brutal or accomplished than the 991 GT2 RS.

With everything optimised the list of bodywork upgrades is endless. The unique branded front splitter, carbon fibre vents, ducting, rear wing and gaping front intakes point to both a significant aerodynamic and performance advantage,

The car presents in wonderful order, free of marks or chips thanks to full PPF. Arrow straight on both flanks, with both of the rear arches again pleasingly mark-free, this bespoke 2RS is simply superb.

INTERIOR

Exceptional 918-style seats take centre stage amid some of the most liberal use of leather, Alcantara and intricate stitching seen in a modern GT car. The dash is trimmed in leather with contrasting red stitching that continues and adds definition throughout the car right through to the door pulls, while the yellow 12 o’clock steering wheel marker adds a subtle nod to the car’s motorsport focus.

Illuminated carbon fibre door sills greet driver and passenger on entry while a host of tech provides all the entertainment and connectivity you need. Sound deadening has been removed and a titanium roll cage added – enhancing aural drama and further endorsing the lightweight designation.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION

GT development boss Andreas Preuninger insisted his team wanted to make the GT2 RS feel turbocharged, rather than follow the modern trend of trying to hide evidence of forced induction. The engine is tractable and calm at low revs until the turbos arrive at just 2,500rpm and another world of performance is unleashed; it certainly takes the bravest of drivers to keep their foot pinned with peak power arriving at a heady 7,000 rpm.

Ride height, camber, caster, and toe are all individually adjustable whilst the front and rear carbon-fiber anti-roll bars / end links included in the Weissach package are a technical masterpiece.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES

The unique and unmarked Magnesium BBS wheels are painted in Satin Platinum, with 265/35ZR-20 front and incredible 325/30ZR-21 rear section equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2s.

The PCCB carbon-ceramic brakes are again the star of the show; now further aided by NACA ducts in the front bonnet to ensure peerless performance on road or track.

HISTORY FILE

This stunning GT2RS was first registered by Porsche Centre Tonbridge in May of 2018. The car has subsequently been serviced on time by OPC’s as per manufacturer guidelines;
