EXTERIOR

Trying to succeed one of the world’s finest design accomplishments in the Countach must have been Gandini’s greatest ever challenge however here we have it; the sensational 90’s evolution. This truly outrageous bull is covered from head to toe in a gorgeous shade of Giallo, which presents in prestine order all over complimented by sweeping SV graphics. With cooling a clear priority there are 10 vents that sit around the car; some obscured, others more obvious, although clearly all part of a fluid design process that balances both form and function.

Pop up headlights retain the original 90’s supercar aura although a re-designed front bumper, twin engine air intakes to help feed the V12 engine compartment and a colour coded adjustable rear spoiler set the SV apart from the rest.

INTERIOR

After the traditional Lamborghini initiation of lifting the sculpted scissor doors, the cabin reveals an opulent appointment of alcantara with contrast Giallo stitching throughout; a fitting combination that matches the wild exterior. The alcantara headlining remains taut and cascades down to the top of the dashboard, giving way to yet more of the suede fabric that remains fresh and clean. The seat integrity and support is excellent, wih special SV embroidered head rests and a user-friendly driving position.

Clear and concise switchgear is easy to operate with the Chrome gear knob centre stage atop the famed open-gate.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION

Stretched to 5.7 litres for the Diablo, Lamborghini’s 48-valve V12 engine gained fuel injection for the first time producing its maximum of 510 bhp at 7,000rpm. Of equal, if not greater significance, maximum torque went up to 428lb/ft; an improvement of 55% over the Countach making tractability unquestionably better. The exquisite design presents admirably, with the famed firing order reading chronologically below the legendary bull.

The car is rather pleasingly approachable and drives as tight as the mileage suggests. With huge torque the car is happy to grumble around at street speeds although winding up the rev range is where you and the car would rather be; just pure theatre!

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES

The O.Z. 3 piece wheels are race spec with a cast aluminium hub, forged aluminium rim and contrasting black spokes; free of clouding or milkiness that can so often taint these designs. The mammoth 13 x 17 rear wheel hosts one of the largest tyres available – a whopping 335/35 section!

The Brembo sourced brakes have had regular servicing and fluid replacements to ensure the car performs as it should, free of adverse pitch or pull.

HISTORY FILE

First registered on 9th August 1996 by Lamborghini Cars GB Ltd, this exceptional Diablo SV is one of just 33 UK delivered examples and remains one of the most iconic supercars of the 1990s.

Accompanying the car’s history file detailed invoices and records document work completed over the years including clutch replacement, cooling system work and major servicing.

Between 2003 and 2014, the car formed part of a private collection and was carefully stored away, helping preserve it’s superb condition.

More recently, the car received a service and health check in September 2025 undergoing a major service programme exceeding £10,000. This included rectification works identified during inspection along with four brand-new tyres.
