I've decided after 14 years of thoroughly enjoyable ownership that I want to go back to the convenience of one-car-does-everything ownership (if such a thing exists!).

This is my second Griffith and has been far superior in every way to the first one I had, some 26 years ago, which, perhaps ironically, was totally standard and on low miles.

This car has been used regularly to keep it running well and iron out any niggles as they arise and only ever maintained by Str8six from whom I bought the car originally.

Servicing/MOT has been carried out religiously every year and any work that's been highlighted as needing doing, I've had carried out. It runs beautifully, always starts first time, never overheats and pulls very strongly.

It has a beautiful two-tone interior with matching Tuscan seats which for me were a must-have, as I found the standard ones very uncomfortable after a few months of ownership in my first Griffith.

It has the Tuscan headlights which are a vast improvement on the standard ones.

It has almost all the Leven accessories fitted which I think add to the feel of the interior.

It has Team Dynamics forged alloys, 18” at the rear and 17” at the front. The black wheels are of course a matter of taste but I think suit the car.

I had power steering added prior to taking delivery as, once again, my first Griffith was non-PAS and I quickly decided I clearly wasn't hairy-chested enough to go without! To me PAS is a must and in no way detracts from the best steering I've experienced in 44 years of car ownership.

The car will come with existing indoor and outdoor quality car covers. It currently lives garaged on a trickle-charger.

Original space saver spare wheel, roof panel cover and TVR tool kit are present.

It has a built in trickle-charger connector and the charger will come with the car. It also has a 12 volt socket coming from the glovebox to make using dashcams and satnavs easier (ie. not plugging them in to the cigarette lighter in the driver’s door).

In my ownership I have spent approx. £40k on maintenance, not including “normal” running costs. As well as a thick folder of detailed invoices, MOTs, etc from my ownership I also have invoices from previous owners, including a full blue-printed engine rebuild in 2006. Details of some of the more major works carried out in my ownership are listed below:

19.6.15 Uprated Focus RS front brake discs and pads

All 4 front wishbones and bushes replaced

21.6.17 New MBE 9A8B ECU fitted with wiring harness, MAP sensor, coil pack,

plug leads and related sensor, twin nozzle injectors, lambda sensors and

link leads

19.4.18 New engine mounts

17.4.19 N/S window motor and wiring replaced

New clutch master cylinder

6.3.20 Body-off chassis outrigger replacement

20.5.21 New radiator

26.11.21 Alarm and immobiliser removed, new central locking control unit

31.5.23 New clutch master cylinder. Outriggers cleaned of corrosion, primed and

painted

18.6.24 New starter motor

02.12.24 New upper and lower dash panel walnut veneers

15.12.25 New - front lower wishbones, upper rear wishbones, track rod ends, lower

front ball joints, 22 wishbone bushes, 40 thrust washers, 3 ARB drop links.

Shot-blasting and powder-coating, 4 wheel alignment, general clean.
