The Toyota Mark II is one of Japan's great unsung saloons. Built to compete with the likes of the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes C-Class in its home market, it delivered executive comfort, genuine rear-wheel drive dynamics and a lineup of engines that would go on to become the stuff of legend. In Japan this was a car for the company director. In the rest of the world it became the blueprint for the sleeper saloon done properly.

The iR-V sits at the very top of the Mark II range, the flagship trim in a car that was already no slouch. Gold exterior badging, electric everything, wooden interior trim, velour seating and VIP rear tints tell you this was built to impress. The fact it also came with a twin-cam turbocharged straight-six under the bonnet is what makes it genuinely special.

Torque GT imported this car directly from Japan in 2019 as a Grade 4 example on just 41,072 miles. It has since been locally owned and has been a regular at Torque GT for all of its servicing. Known history, documented care and a solid platform to build on. It now sits on 72,750 miles and presents well throughout.
