2000 Lotus

2000 W plate, 44k miles, 3 former keepers, Starlight Black.

This is a full spec Sport 160 WVTA car so it has the Front Mounted oil cooler.

Technomagnesio Victory alloys. And an idle like no other. Makes everyone smile.

I bought this car and recommissioned it 4 years ago after it had been 10 years off the road. This is my 4th Lotus and third S1 variant. I had a clear vision for the car and bought high quality parts with the intention of keeping it. Now, after buying another car, my attention has drifted and I'm just not using it. It's done just over 4K miles on my ownership, 3k of which was a tour in France to the south coast.

Condition is good. There are some chips as to be expected with age and fibre glass car, but I have worked to keep it in good fettle. The aluminium tread plates are in good condition. I fixed the floor which had shown signs of corrosion but left it unpainted as it's under the carpets. The main bad point is where the front right tyre has bitten the body work slightly because the standard LSS suspension was so low. I replaced the old and failing LSS with new Nitron NTR40s and set it to a low but manageable height. Fully geo'd at the time. The damage isn't bad (see picture) and it was on the list for a minor repair that I just never got to.

The glue on the Skelton seats melted in the heat of the south of France. The seats have been re-glued and are serviceable but really need a refurb which is reflected in the price. I had fitted S2 Exige Alcantara seats, Schroth harnesses and suede sports wheel which are available separately if desired.

At recommission it got a Full C Service. All Belts, Fluids and Filters were changed.

The car has:

PRRT, Alpine Speakers, Carbon ITG induction, Cat Replacement Pipe (comes with Cat), Uniball toe links, Harness bar.

Engine: Spark plugs, High Crank Battery, ITG Air Filter, Pro Alloy 48L tank, Fuel lines, Spitfire Fuel Pump, Magnecor Leads, IACV and Housing, Stainless flexible pipe, Elise Parts 6" Exhaust (Original oval tip comes with the car)

Brakes: New Disks all round, Braided hoses all round, Rear brake lines, Refurbed Rear Brake Calipers, Pagid RS42.

Chassis: Nitron NTR40s, New EliseParts soft roof (Red), High Power Battery, S2 Wiper Arm / Air blade (original available), Brand New Rear light grills, New Alloy Diffuser, Elise Parts Fuel Cap, EP Stainless fuel filler surround, Yokohama AD08RS (still 5mm+)

Interior: JVC Stereo, Fog light Switch, Alloy Mat fixings, Elise Matts, USB Power

Car comes with two sets of keys, fresh key fobs and both touch keys!

You can see from the list of new parts fitted that its had many common issues or longevity issues fixed. It runs fantastically well, looks amazing and will be missed.

This is a great car, it's just had a Fresh MOT and ready to enjoy.
