2023 PORSCHE 718 SPYDER RS S-A

The 718 Spyder RS feels like one of those rare Porsche products that immediately made sense the moment it was launched. Not because of outright numbers or lap times, but because Porsche finally gave the Boxster platform the full GT3 powertrain it always deserved. The result is arguably one of the most engaging modern Porsche road cars, combining the immediacy of an open top car with the 4.0 litre naturally aspirated flat six from the 992 GT3 and GT3 RS.

This particular 2023 example is finished in Vanadium Grey Metallic over a Black leather and Race-Tex interior with contrasting red stitching and Weissach RS embroidery. Unlike many modern performance cars, the appeal of the Spyder RS is not purely about speed. It is the combination of the GT3-derived engine mounted inches behind the cabin, the open top configuration and the compact dimensions that make it feel genuinely special on the road. The induction noise alone, particularly with the roof removed, is unlike anything else currently offered by Porsche.
