When launched in 1992 the new V8 Vantage signalled a major step forward for Aston Martin, although still clothed in a hand crafted all aluminium body and mild steel underpinnings. This really is the last of the truly hand built cars to come out of Aston Martin's Newport Pagnell factory and put Aston Martin back in the super car category.This new model was a radical departure from Aston Martin's normal convention and deployed two Eaton superchargers to boost the engine performance to 550 bhp and 550 lb/ft of torque. It was coupled to a 6-speed ZF gearbox which delivers its immense power to the road via a bespoke de Dion back axel.Please keep in mind that traction control wasn't available on this model as standard either, so relied on driver discretion to ensure power demands were appropriately summoned. They are scarce with only 239 standard V8 Vantages built in in total.This particular car is extremely rare as a one owner example and has only covered 29,000 miles in a little over 30 years, being sparingly used and wonderfully maintained.Finished in the original colour scheme of Aston Green with Fawn trim, this car was further upgraded by Aston Martin Works, at the factory where she was built, with the V600 brakes and suspension package. Still with its original service book, owner's manual and very rare luggage set, this is a time warp car that's been cherished by its one and only owner.
