This is a very special car that we have been working on in the background since 2022.
Originally purchased by our technician in 2020, having been off the road for a few years, the car was in need of a reconditioned steering rack, and a suspension refresh. Phil then took out the rack, sent it off for a rebuild, gave the car a thorough service, put an MOT on it, and used it for a year or so. The car had received a body off restoration back in the early 2010s, but this hadn't been done to a particularly good standard, and this niggled our Phil, so he then decided the only thing to do was to strip the car and start again.
So in 2022, the long process began, obviously not being a paid job for him, the car was worked on here and there over the next three years. The body was separated from the chassis, and the chassis sent to be blasted, new outriggers were fitted, and was then zinc primed and powder coated, along with all wishbones, and brackets etc.
All bushes were replaced, along with all new brake and fuel lines, new drop links, ball joints, track rod ends, exhaust mounts, oil hoses, heat shielding, water manifolds, etc etc. The list of new bits was endless.
While the engine was out, the top end was stripped and checked, and the valve clearances were adjusted. The gearbox was also opened and checked.
A new carpet set was fitted, along with Michlin Pilot Sport 5 tyres, and the Ohlins shock absorbers were sent off for a full refurbishment.
Then the car sat again, nearly finished, but he was just too busy to get it over the line. So, over a few beers, a deal was struck, and we bought the car from him, this was early 2025.
So the car was then re assembled, along with some more new bits, Optima Red Top battery, throttle pot upgrade, new windscreen, and some more new fluids throughout, and finally in November 2025 the car went for an MOT, which obviously it sailed through with no issues. Through spring we have managed to put around 400 miles on the car so far, and it's a raw, fabulous, angry Cerb, as they should be. Currently decatted, but she does come with a set of cats.
The car has also recently had the wheels refurbished, and the front end has been covered with Expel PPF to protect the stunning paintwork.
The car also comes with some nice extras from before the restoration, such as a brake upgrade Silverstone Performance back box, a set of the highly regarded SP!2 alloys, ACT silicone hoses, and the brilliant Ohlins dampers.
If you're after a Cerbera that ticks all the boxes, in a truly fabulous colour combination, this one must be on your list. This example is no shrinking violet, this is a Cerbera, turned up to 11, a hooligan of a car, as they were intended to be.
