This beautiful car is number 12 out of the 50 limited edition Commemorative V12 E-Types specifically manufactured to acknowledge total cessation of the model's production in 1974.49 cars were painted black and one green, all being Roadsters with the interiors trimmed in Cinnamon leather and carpeting.The vehicles were right hand drive irrespective of final territorial destination. Thirty cars had manual gearboxes, of which this car is one, and the remainder were fitted with automatic transmissions.Each car is complimented with a brass identification plaque signed by Sir William Lyons, then-Chairman of Jaguar, and affixed to the glovebox lid.This matching number car's identification number is 2834 and its authenticity is confirmed by a Jaguar Heritage Certificate.The last and fourth owner from new acquired the car in 2019, at which point the car was immediately and completely dismantled and a 100-point restoration undertaken. There is a detailed substantial photographic record of the four-year restoration and in addition, a copious comprehensive history file dating back to its initial manufacture. The body restoration and painting was undertaken by renowned Jaguar specialists, XK Engineering, and the interior trimming including a new mohair hood by GB Classic Trim.All of the dismantling, mechanical assembly, installation of new wiring harnesses and engineering work has been undertaken by the last owner who is a Chartered Engineer and has already restored to concours four previous V12 E Types, a Jaguar XK150 and Ferrari Dino in addition to being responsible for the design of complex assemblies for the car and bike racing fraternity including Formula One in his early career.Fastidious attention has been given to ensuring retention of the car's originality, with the exception of replacing the rear crankshaft seal with a well proven lip-seal conversion and lightened flywheel.A high torque starter motor, spin-on oil filter, stainless steel exhaust and adjustable
