Radical SR08 RAD.

Its just completed a two-and-a-half-year restoration at North Motorsport. Just MOT ed the Radical is unique as being one of a handful of registered and previously owned by the designer of the Radical V8 engine. It has covered 14K miles it’s difficult to extract the number of track miles . In my ownership its has done 10-15 track days , Goodwood, Silverstone, Anglesey, Croft and Knockhill.

This was pre-engine rebuild this was done and a precaution as there was little maintenance or service history when I purchased the car. It’s well known to the Radical factory and in the general Radical community. The factory support is excellent and the number of authorised dealers throughout the UK. Would be happy to drive it to Europe etc provide I had a weather forecast.

Radical SR 8 UK road registered SR08 RAD

Ex Steve Prentice Designer of the Radical V8 Engine . Full and extensive two-year mechanical re- build retaining original body work. Lightweight body work with dual plane rear wing. RPE 2.6 litre V8 engine of 363 bhp and a rev limit of 10,500 rpm. Quaife six speed semi-automatic gearbox has a paddle shift. The car weighs 650 kg and is fitted with quick lift jacks, centre lock wheels, a hi-force bi-plane rear wing, quick release steering wheel, floating disc brakes, 0-60 mph in 2.1 seconds, 50-100 mph in 4.4 seconds, and has a top speed of 178 mph. With current gearbox ratios.

The SR8 held the lap record for a road legal vehicle at the Nürburgring of 6.48.28 minutes, driven by Michael Vegers, and in 2015 it won the Pikes Peak International Hillclimb.

I have all the factory manuals and a limited number of notes from Steve Prentice. Original purchase receipt from Radical in Steve's name. Fantastic on track days nothing faster ( Perhaps a Caparo had a great dice with one at Silverstone and Valkyrie but that’s another story).
