Overview
For sale is my 2007 (B7 generation) Audi S4 Saloon. This is a brilliant opportunity to own a rapidly appreciating modern classic in arguably the most iconic, highly sought-after Audi paint code ever made: Nogaro Blue
I am only selling it as I need a temporary petrol estate car for 6 months so we do not have the space to keep it.
Powered by the naturally aspirated 4.2L V8 and paired with the Quattro all-wheel-drive system and a smooth 6-speed automatic gearbox, this car balances daily usability with incredible performance.
The History: Professional Engine Rebuild & Brand New Chains carried out by Neaden Care Care, NW10
In 2020, the car suffered the classic B7 timing chain failure, which unfortunately cracked the original lower engine block. I bought the car from Facebook market place for £3000 and chose to save this rare saloon properly, investing over £5,000 into a complete mechanical overhaul.
The Work: The engine was removed and rebuilt from the ground up. A healthy, genuine second-hand original Audi lower block was sourced, and a brand-new timing chain kit, fresh guides, tensioners, and gaskets were installed.
The Paperwork: I have a comprehensive folder of receipts for the entire build, including the physical receipt for the replacement lower block.
Of note, I have the receipt for the custom stainless exhaust with first cat-delete which was fitted to the car in May 2026. This means it sounds amazing, but just burbles along when under 2000 revs.
Note: The specialist garage (Neaden Car Care) that performed the work has since closed due to the owner retiring, but all physical paperwork is present.
6 Years of Flawless MOT History
The quality of this rebuild is completely proven by time. Since going back on the road in 2020, the car has covered roughly 7,000 flawless miles and has passed every single annual MOT with absolutely zero advisories. It runs incredibly smoothly, shifts perfectly through the paddle-shifters, and pulls exactly like a V8 should with no cold-start chain rattle whatsoever.
Honest Disclosure: Minor Oil Weep/Aircon intermittent fault
To be entirely transparent with enthusiast buyers, there is currently a minor oil leak stemming from the rear timing chain cover area, consuming/weeping roughly 1 litre of oil every 2,000 miles.
Because the chains themselves are fresh and perfectly silent, this is simply a slight gasket/sealant weep on the rear cover. It does not affect how the car drives, it leaves no major puddles, and it throws no dashboard codes—it just requires an occasional top-up.
In the last 2 months it has developed an intermittent Aircon shut down. In colder weather, below 5-10 deg C it works as normal. In warmer weather it shuts down running only in Econ mode. This has been diagnosed as pressure valve failure. I had a new unit put on the car when it was getting rebuilt.
Because fixing it permanently requires labour to access the back of the block, I have left it as-is and heavily discounted my asking price to reflect this.
Key Specification & Features

Keys:2 keys included – 1 never used.
Terms of Sale
We are in the process of moving house, I do not currently have a garage, and we are unlikely to move to a home with a garage, if this were the case I would just store the car and get it fixed when we have settled. However, I do not have this luxury and need a temporary, cheap petrol estate car to assist in the above, so the car has to go.
I have priced the car very fairly at £4,000 to account for the two faults. Considering that a rare Nogaro saloon with a fresh engine block, brand new chains, full leather Recaros, and a private plate would easily clear £6,000 if broken down for parts alone, I will not accept lowball offers.
Serious buyers only. No group viewings. Test drives will only be conducted by myself unless you can provide physical proof of a valid, fully comprehensive insurance policy covering this specific vehicle.
