Description
I originally bought this car from a mini enthusiast in London and have owned it since 2019
.
Whilst I have had it, I have upgraded it with a professionally built 1430cc engine,
upgraded the brakes and suspension and given it some TLC.
It is a 40 year old car so does have some scabs and blemishes, but it was never intended to be concours car but more of a fun retro style Cafe racer
Whilst fitting the new engine the engine bay was freshened with the subframe being restored
and suspension arms, bushes etc renewed / serviced.
This Mini is now over 40 years old and as such is tax and MOT exempt.
This an ongoing project for someone and there are jobs to do if you want, but the car can be driven and is enjoyed now.

Built by Chris at Crafted Classics in Suffolk and tuned at Hybrid Tune.
The 1430cc engine and drivetrain, built by Practical Classics, and using MED engineering or
Minispares supplied parts features:
Stand alone ECU
Coil pack so no distributor to go wrong when it rains.
124 bhp & 163 Nm Engine
MED dry head conversion and head gasket.
Wedged and bladed MED crank.
Forged rods.
Omega pistons.
Big valve ported and flowed head
ARP head studs
Roller rockers
Uprated big valves and seats.
Uprated valve springs and colletts
High capacity oil pump.
High capacity water pump
Straight cut 4 speed gearbox
Cross pin diff.
Maniflow exhaust manifold and exhaust system.
High flow alloy radiator
Fuel pump in boot
Filter and filter king fuel regulator
Gearbox has MED straight cut 4 speed gearset and drop gears fitted, with a lightened flywheel and upgraded clutch.
This car is for those who know about a straight cut gearbox and drop gears. Its noisy and on idle
it chatters, but the advantage is, it wont break. I personally like the sound it makes and for B
road blasts its great, but this is not a mini for doing long journeys in!
Wheels and Suspension.
Original Sprite Exacton 10 inch wheels with Yokahama A008 tyres all round. These alloys do
need a refurb mainly a polish around the rims.
Tyre pressure and temperature monitoring system (display on dashboard).
Front and rear Hi Lo adjustable height turrets.
Protech shocks all round.
Front rubber cones are new competition type, rears are standard (new) rubber cones
Polybushed front subframe, rear standard.
The geometry of this car has been set up by me at MK Sportscars factory and is exactly how I want it (the;turn in and cornering is amazing). As everything is adjustable the new owner can of
course tailor this to their preferences should they wish.
Interior.
Sprite interior with new black carpets and comfy herringbone seats.
New high gloss black dashboard with 3 guage binnacle.
Open the glove compartment to find water temp, oil temp and oil pressure guages hidden away.
OMP steering wheel gives a great driving feel.
Recent front disc brake conversion with rear Minifin drums
Brakes are spot on and confidence inspiring!
Exterior
I have changed the standard black bumpers, and boot handles to chrome as well as the rear
number plate light surround. New classic chrome fog light is fitted as well as retro black metal
numberplates.
The fuel tank is fitted with a chrome Aston style latching fuel cap. Chrome front spot lights,
mirrors, wipers and washers also complete the classic look.
