1998 TVR CHIMAERA

A stunning, eye catching and head turning Chimaera. I’ve owned it for the last 11 years, buying it in 2015 with just 26k miles on it. Since then we have completed two trips down to Italy and another to the South of France achieving an astonishing 30mpg on the motorways!

In 2016, the engine was rebuilt by RPI Engineering (gurus of all things Rover V8!) which included the installation of a Piper 285 cam and an alloy radiator.

In 2018, the rear hood window was replaced and in 2021 the outriggers were replaced by Mat Smith Sportscars, an independent TVR specialist who has cared for this car and knows it very well. He also replaced all the fuel lines so can handle E10 if necessary.

At the end of 2025, the seats were professionally refurbished by Moores Classic Car Interiors and the carpets were also refreshed.

The car currently runs a sleeved exhaust (sounds awesome!) and has a new front air splitter.

I fitted a new Battery earlier this year.

The paintwork, Halcyon Atlantis Pearlescent, is excellent with the exception of the expected age related stone chips on the nose.

It was MoT’d in April with no advisories.

Standard exhaust and registration “L14 TVR” (currently on retention) available by separate negotiation.
