The MG TF 1500 is a classic British sports car known for its graceful Looks upright chrome grille, and open-top roadster charm. Introduced as the final evolution of MG’s T-series, it paired prewar-inspired styling with a more powerful 1,466 cc engine, giving it livelier performance than earlier models. Light, nimble, and unmistakably vintage, the TF 1500 remains admired for its engaging driving feel and timeless character.

The MG 1500 TF chassis no: TF8416 offered here at Autostorcio is a December 1954 built home markets example, of which less than 70 remain so this is a rare car. Finished in Green with Beige Leather interior with Beige hood. Passing through three owners the car was bought in 1988 by Ray Butt the director of Only Fools and horses who enjoyed the car until his passing in 2013. It then passed to his son in law who undertook a full no expense sparred full body off restoration.

Works included works included full chassis shot blast and re-paint, bodywork prepared for a full respray, suspension and running gear overhaul. Engine rebuild with electronic ignition, upgraded Dynamite alternator plus the installation of a new 5 speed gearbox by MG specialist Peter Edney. Further improvements include high power starter motor, new springs and bushes, new brake shoes and cylinders, new axle oil seals, new steering rack, re-trimmed interior with new floor panels, new MWS wheels and tyres fitted.
