2011 PORSCHE 911

The 997 Carrera GTS arrived towards the very end of the 997's production run and, in many respects, represented Porsche's greatest hits album. Taking the wide bodied shell of the Carrera 4, combining it with the rear wheel drive layout enthusiasts love and adding a host of performance and cosmetic upgrades, the GTS quickly established itself as one of the most desirable variants of the entire 997 generation.

Powered by Porsche's naturally aspirated 3.8-litre flat-six producing 408hp, the GTS came equipped with Sport Chrono, Porsche Sports Exhaust, centre-lock RS Spyder wheels and a host of model-specific details that set it apart from the standard Carrera S. More than a decade later, it remains one of the most compelling modern 911s, offering hydraulic steering, compact dimensions and a level of driver engagement that has become increasingly rare.
