A K-reg Vauxhall Rascal Pickup (1992–1993) is a tiny, cab-over utility truck that looks almost toy-like by modern standards, yet was surprisingly practical. Picture a vehicle about 3.3 metres long with the driver sitting almost directly over the front wheels. The front end is nearly flat, with a short nose, large rectangular headlights and a wide black grille panel carrying the Vauxhall badge. The windscreen is steep and upright, giving it a friendly, almost cartoonish appearance. Behind the two-seat cab is a compact drop-side pickup bed. The sides fold down for loading, making it popular with gardeners, builders, market traders and local authorities. Despite its small size, it could carry around 575 kg of payload, which was impressive for such a lightweight vehicle.
