This beautiful W113 has remained in the same family ownership for over 30 years passing from fathers to son and has been maintained regardless of cost throughout that time. The car has benefitted from continuous improvement and restoration work by some of the UKs most highly respected Mercedes-Benz Pagoda specialists.

The engine was fully rebuilt just over 4,000 miles ago by renowned Mercedes specialist Roger Edwards and remains exceptionally strong, smooth and reliable. The automatic gearbox performs exactly as it should, making the car a pleasure to drive both around town and on longer journeys and suits this car much better then the common manual gearbox that 75% if the 230s were supplied with.

In 2015 the car underwent a major front-end body restoration by respected Mercedes specialist John Haynes, including:

Firewall reconstruction

Extensive front-end metalwork restoration

The total cost of this work exceeded 35,000.

More recently in the current owners custodianship, in 2023, the car completed an extensive 15-month restoration programme carried out by The SL Shop, one of the worlds leading Mercedes-Benz Pagoda specialists, at a cost of over 63,400. Works included:
