Description

Right Hand Drive * 'Suicide Doors' * Recently Completed Nut & Bolt Restoration * Upgraded 649cc Engine * 4-speed Synchro Gearbox * Disc Brakes *
This early Fiat 500 D from 1961 is a rare original Right Hand Drive vehicle imported to the UK from New Zealand. It features 'suicide' doors and has just completed a two year total nut & bolt restoration as carried out by Jaggard & Moore (ex-JD Classics). Additional upgrades to improve performance have been added including a fully rebuilt 649cc Engine, 4-speed Synchromesh Gearbox, Front Disc Brakes & set of Replacement Wheels with Hubcaps. The Chassis has been completely stripped and repainted in original Verde Chiaro (Pistacchio Green), which coordinates nicely with the Pale Green Vinyl Interior and has also been fitted with a new fully retractable Beige Soft Top, a Top Tint Windscreen and set of White Wall Tyres. All components renewed have been supplied exclusively by one of the UK's leading Fiat parts specialists.
The 'Cinquecento' was designed in 1957 by Fiat Chief Engineer Dante Giacosa as a post-war vehicle for the masses and remains an Italian Cultural Icon to this day. This particular example is a very much sought after Right Hand Drive example in pristine Restored condition and ready for the road.
