Jaguar XJR 4.2 Supercharged

175k+ miles and will go up slightly as still in use. Instrument cluster was changed around 2014/2015 so currently displays 160k. .

Owned by me since November 2020. Comes with a huge history file, correct handbooks, V5, HPI check from when I purchased it and 2 working keys.

This is not your standard quiet original XJR. It’s been tastefully modified into a loud, quick and properly usable super saloon with real presence. If you want a completely standard factory car then this probably won’t be for you. If you appreciate old school supercharged V8 Jaguars with character, noise and road presence then you’ll understand what this car is about.

Upgrades include:

• Private plate Y66 XJR• 20” refurbished Sepang alloys• Pulley upgrade by Powerhouse Chesterfield• Full through stainless cat back exhaust by Torqueflow Birmingham• Custom intake imported from America

The car also had a replacement ECU before my ownership at a cost of around £1100.

Engine rebuild completed in 2025.

Full service carried out in 2024 including injectors.

Work carried out December 2024 includes:

• Knock sensors replaced• Front suspension both sides replaced• Air suspension compressor replaced• Bonnet struts replaced• Supercharger oil service• Thermostat replaced• Throttle body and supercharger plenum carbon clean• Water pump replaced• Automatic gearbox service with filter and oil• O2 sensor replaced• Fuel filter replaced• Rear differential oil change• Both ride height sensors replaced• Aluminium ride height sensor bracket upgrade

Also had a new radiator and coolant expansion tank fitted in April 2024.

Thousands have been spent maintaining and improving this car.

High spec model with heated electric seats, sat nav, Bluetooth, electric rear blind, rear ski hatch armrest, Alpine premium sound system, valet mode and all the usual XJR refinements.

The car drives very well and pulls hard exactly as it should.

Engine management light is currently on due to the cats being removed. Original cats will come with the sale if the new owner wishes to refit them.

Bodywork is good overall for the age and mileage but please remember this is not a brand new car. There are age related marks and blemishes around the bodywork and a few imperfections as expected from a 175k+ mile vehicle. That said, it still presents very well, gets attention and is becoming a rarer sight on the roads now.

This is a loud, fast and full of character old school Jaguar that gets comments and attention. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but if it’s the sort of car you’re after then you’ll probably love it.
