Advertising on behalf of a customer.\n\nFord MK1 Lotus Cortina. This car has been reshelled at some point in its life (as have many of them) and has had various parts changed so its not an original car. If this means its not for you then no need to read any further. We have the recent V5 stating Lotus Cortina and not a lot of history. We know it was exported to the Netherlands at some point and competed in the Tulpen Rally around 97 to 2001. The car was reimported at some point. Its had a bit money spent on it and is very good underneath. It starts runs and drives but will need a bit recommissioning as not really been used properly for a while. \n\nBody - Mk1 2 door Cortina. Car has been reshelled at some point in its past. It has the bars in the boot and diff hump but obviously added during the reshell process. Its very solid underneath and all been stonechipped and painted body colour. Their is a bit bubbling on the bottoms of the wings and lower quarters and could do with a tidy up in these areas. Also a bit bubbling at top of drivers door post\n\nEngine - Lotus twin cam engine running twin 40s, doubt its the original engine. It starts and runs well, but would benefit from a service as we dont know when it was last done. It had about 6500 spent on it a while back which included a gearbox overhaul, rear axle overhaul, some rewiring. The car feels tight and drives well. Gear change is lovely. I have to say it drives as good or better than some of the way more expensive examples Ive had a go in.\n\nInterior - Lotus clocks, front seats look wrong for this year of car. No rips or tears . Door cards are ok. Its all there inside and functional rather than beautiful.\n\nWheels - Lotus steels with good Yokohama tyres.\n\nThis car is not one for the purists but still a good solid old fun car. Nobody is hiding the fact its been reshelled at some point. There are very few totally original cars left. if you want to view the car thats not a problem. We have a ramp so you can look underneath.
