2005 LOTUS ELISE

Very reluctant sale of my 2005 Lotus Elise 111R, which I have owned and cherished for the past six years after purchasing it from Snows Lotus in Hedge End. The only reason for the sale is an upcoming house purchase.

The car presents beautifully and is in excellent condition throughout, reflecting the care it has received throughout its life. Throughout my ownership it has been serviced and MOT'd annually by Craig Moncrieff, a highly respected Lotus specialist based near Edinburgh, regardless of the mileage covered. It has just been serviced and MOT'd on 15th June, with the MOT valid until 29th June 2027. As part of the latest service, the engine oil and brake fluid were replaced, and a new battery was fitted in 2024.

In 2023 it was fitted with a new set of Yokohama AD08RS tyres, chosen as the natural successor to the original AD07s, retaining the aggressive tread pattern that looks fantastic from the rear while offering excellent performance.

This is a very original, unmolested example with just a handful of tasteful upgrades. These include a TRD intake, a genuine Lotus Stage 2 exhaust back box, yellow painted brake calipers, and a retrim of the interior plastics in black leather with silver stitching to match the seats. These subtle enhancements complement the car beautifully while giving the cabin a more premium feel, without detracting from its originality. The original exhaust back box has been retained and will be included with the sale.

The car comes with a full service history, both original keys, and the original handbook and book pack. It has had three previous owners and has been carefully maintained throughout its life. I also have a comprehensive history file containing invoices and paperwork dating right back to the original purchase invoice, providing an excellent record of the car's history and maintenance.

It has never wanted for anything and has always been serviced on time, irrespective of mileage, making it a well-cared-for example that is becoming increasingly difficult to find.

This is an honest, well-maintained Elise 111R that drives exactly as it should and is ready to be enjoyed by its next owner. I will be genuinely sorry to see it go, but I hope it finds a home with another enthusiast who will appreciate it as much as I have.
