2009 PORSCHE 911

After nearly 10 awesome years of ownership I’ve reluctantly decided I need something more practical. Car is in excellent condition and rides/drives perfectly. Details as follows:

- 997 Gen 2 Carrera 2S, manual with 55,268 miles.

- Car purchased in October 2016, with 3 previous owners.

- Car is marked as a Cat C, with log book stating ‘This vehicle has been salvaged because the cost of commercial repair was more than the value of the vehicle.’ The damage occurred some time in 2012, 4 years before the start of my ownership, and although I have no photos/details of the actual repair I have an invoice for purchase of a o/s side panel. I also ran a vcheck and it had no photos of the damage.

Clearly at Cat registered car is not for everyone and this is the only time I have purchased such a car and have had no regrets over the past 10 years, it’s been a fantastic car that I will miss greatly.

I have carried out the following modifications during my ownership to sharpen up the car and improve the driving experience:

DSC PASM controller (original PASM box also included)

Optimised geo to sharpen handling and reduce understeer

- Brakes:

Turbo 380mm discs front and rear

Ferodo DS2500 pads

HEL braided brake lines

GT3 master cylinder

Brake pad wear bypass

GT3 front brake ducts

- Gearbox:

GT3 shift mechanism

- Exhaust:

Top Gear cat-back valved system (works with original PSE button) with centre muffler x-pipe

- Wheels / Tyres:

OZ Racing Ultraleggera HLT in Matt Black, in GT3 sizes – Front: 8.5x19 ET53, Rear: 12x19 ET68

Michelin PS4S Tyres in 245/35 and 305/30

- External:

Zunsport 3-piece radiator grill set

10/10/2013: Major Service inc plugs at Porsche Reading, 15,890 miles, £1911.01 including spark plugs.

28/07/2016: Minor Service at Porsche Reading, 21,294 miles, £917.18

31/07/2018: Major Service at Design 911, 29,246 miles, £3689.33 including spark plugs, brake pads and discs all round, coil packs, upper and lower coolant hoses, gearbox oil, wheel alignment.

22/04/2021: Minor Service at PorschaCare, 37,280 miles, £870.00 including GT3 brake master cylinder, HEL brake lines, fitment of Top Gear cat back exhaust.

21/04/2023: Major Service at PorschaCare, 46,978 miles, £6,222.76 including spark plugs, DS2500 brake pads and Turbo discs all round, Sachs 3 piece clutch (preventative maintenance, not worn or slipping), brake pipes coated, engine mounts, new front suspension top mounts/bearings, gearbox oil change, Eibach lowering springs, wheel alignment.

24/07/2025: Minor Service at PorschaCare, 54,775 miles, £912.48 including new AC seals and regas.

- Further Work Carried Out:

12/03/2018: Bosch S5 010 Battery.

01/09/2020: New Air Con Rads fitted and regas.

12/06/2023: New Rear Lights (originals suffered from condensation).

21/04/2023: Repair, protect and paint surface corrosion in offside rear arch (build up of grime over years under arch liner), Waxoyl to complete underside and all chassis box sections. £1,347.83.

25/06/2025: Remove surface rust from offside rear arch lip, protect and paint, paint front bumper. £1,601.83.
