2005 PORSCHE BOXSTER

Outstanding 987 Boxster S with just 45,500 miles. 6 speed manual; basalt black; MOT to May 2027. Registered in July 2005.

I have owned this car since June 2017, having bought it from someone I know who himself had owned it for some 9 years. I've used it as a 'weekends and holidays' car but I'm now selling as I'm just not using it enough to justify keeping it.

Options fitted include heated sports seats (more lateral support at shoulder level), a sports steering wheel (circular boss) and cruise control. Philips LED headlight bulbs are fitted with the original halogen bulbs supplied if you prefer to swap back.

I've carried out routine services myself with annual oil and filter changes, despite the low mileage, always using Mobil 1 oil. It uses next to no oil in between changes. I've also fitted new discs and pads all round (Pagid) and the brake fluid and coolant have been changed. Tyres are Michelin PS2 with Porsche's N4 rating.

Note that this car is late enough to have the larger intermediate shaft bearing fitted, removing any concerns about bearing failure.

Overall condition is very good with no rust and paintwork that shines up well while the performance is exactly what you would expect from a 280bhp Porsche with just 45k on the clock. Everything works as it should, including the electric roof.

I've had a huge amount of fun with this car. I have used it for an annual trip to Le Mans and it's amazing how it swallows camping gear and luggage for two people, making it a surprisingly practical sports car.
