This rare Dax Supertube is an immaculate, 3 owner example,that was lovingly built by a mechanical engineer over the course of six years, since when it has travelled just 3,300 miles,and never seen the rain !!!

Hundreds of man hours were expended on its creation, plus in excess of £30,000 worth of parts .

Built on the Dax Lightweight Supertube chassis and powered by an overhauled, high-specification 383ci Stroker (6.2-litre) Chevy V8 that produces circa 500bhp. The billet aluminium flywheel leads to a 5-speed Tremec manual gearbox that in turn drives through a 2.88:1 limited slip differential .

The car has recently been serviced & tuned and thoroughly checked over by the renowned specialists, Thunderoad,who commented on how well the car was put together and drove..

The desirable supertube chassis was built to replicate the original, and is said to handle far better than their stock chassis. Production costs of 4 times that of the normal offering, unfortunately proved uneconomic, hence their rarity today.

The running gear is courtesy of a Jaguar XJS and the suspension features adjustable coil springs and Spax dampers.

Protection is afforded by a bespoke chromed roll-over bar and the car rides on unmarked Halibrand alloys shod with Pirelli P Zero tyres ,it also has power steering .

This Dax is superbly finished in Audi Techno Metallic Blue with painted racing stripes. Professionally trimmed in Cream leather, as supplied for the manufacture of Tommy Hillfiger coats.Wilton carpets are fitted throughout, inc. the boot area .

The attention to detail includes AC logos in the door cards and contrasting stitching. Its without doubt one of the best available today .

This car drives superbly, and has some serious performance.

The car is correctly registered as a Dax Tojeiro and is IVA tested. The car also now benefits from a Historic 1977 registration, and is therefore road tax free and MOT exempt.
