Interior
The interior is in excellent condition overall and reflects careful ownership.
HRRCC branding details present
Leather seats and steering wheel in very good shape
Clean carpets and headlining
Door cards in great condition
Boot area tidy
Upgrades:
Alpine head unit with Bluetooth, DAB, and front USB
Everything works as expected, and the cabin remains a great place to be.
Exterior
Finished in classic Chilli Red with a contrasting Aspen White roof, the car presents well
Paintwork is bright and well-kept
Panels align well overall
HRRCC decals fitted
Refurbished GP1-style alloy wheels
DEPO rear light clusters
Xenon Headlights with LDC Automatic levelling
Eight-spoke 17” black alloy wheels are all in fine fettle with only 1 signs of any real damage or kerbing - Kumho tyres low mile on them included in sale
The car has clearly been cared for and still turns heads.
The Honest Bits - In the spirit of transparency:
Passenger seat recline is limited (common issue on these - I did find another from breakers yard but it has the same issue!)
Bit of rear headline sagging on passenger side
Air conditioning will need a recharge
Slight panel alignment variation between bonnet and bumper on passenger side
Minor age-related marks as expected for a car of this age
Chip in wind screen but not in drivers line of sight
Stone chips revealing undercoat of roof and bumper - to be expected for mileage
None of these detract from the driving experience, but worth noting.
Summary
This is a rare opportunity to own a genuinely special R53—one that’s been properly sorted, tastefully upgraded, and maintained with enthusiasm.
With its HRRCC pedigree, recent investment, and engaging drive, it’s a fantastic value enthusiast car that’s ready to be enjoyed immediately.
