Description
This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Iconic Sale at the BRDC Classic 2026 - Collectors' Cars on Saturday the 25th of July, The Wing, Silverstone Circuit, NN12 8TN. The Fisker Karma EVer (Electric Vehicle with Extended Range) remains one of the most ambitious and distinctive luxury vehicles of the modern era. Conceived by a Los Angeles-based team led by former Aston Martin Design Director, Henrik Fisker, whose previous work included the Aston Martin DB9 and V8 Vantage, the Karma combined dramatic styling, advanced hybrid technology and luxury grand touring capability in a package unlike anything else available at the time.
Built around a bespoke aluminium spaceframe chassis, the Karma features a longitudinally-mounted battery pack housed within the centre spine of the car and a front-mounted 2.0-litre turbocharged Ecotec engine acting as a range extender for its twin rear-mounted electric motors. Together, the system produces a combined 403bhp and an impressive 981lb/ft of torque, delivered through a single-speed direct-drive transmission. Independent suspension, regenerative Brembo braking and distinctive 22-inch Circuit Blade alloy wheels complete the technical specification.
This 2012 example was delivered new to mainland Europe before arriving in the UK in 2014. At the time of cataloguing, it was indicating just 21,616 miles and is finished in Deep Ocean Blue, a premium colour reserved for higher-specification Karmas. The car benefits from Fisker's innovative Diamond Dust paint finish, incorporating recycled glass flake technology as part of the company's environmentally conscious approach to vehicle design.
The cabin reflects the same philosophy, featuring sustainably sourced materials and reclaimed wood trim produced from certified fallen, recovered or rescued timber. One of the Karma's most distinctive features is its full-length solar roof, which supplements the vehicle's electrical systems and assists with maintaining the cabin climate when parked.
The Karma attracted widespread attention upon launch, not only for its striking appearance but also for its pioneering technology. In 2011 it was named Top Gear Magazine's Luxury Car of the Year, while presenter James May also selected it as his personal Car of the Year. With production ending in 2012, the Karma became a short-lived but highly significant chapter in the evolution of premium electrified vehicles.
On offer from six years current ownership, having been purchased by our vendor through Iconic Auctioneers in 2020, this low-mileage example is offered with just two former registered keepers in the UK. It has formed part of a private Collection during current ownership and is accompanied by an MOT valid until April 2027, issued with no advisories.
Combining award-winning design, advanced engineering and genuine exclusivity, this rare Karma EVer represents an opportunity to acquire one of the most innovative and visually striking luxury cars of the 21st century. We encourage your inspection at our BRDC Collectors Car Sale.
