Description
Whilst Nissan's flagship supercar earned its reputation through remarkable performance and everyday usability, this example has been developed far beyond factory specification, benefiting from an extensive programme of mechanical, transmission and chassis upgrades. The accompanying history file contains invoices totalling in excess of £60,000, whilst the vendor advises that the overall investment in the car comfortably exceeds £100,000 when taking into account the JM1300 engine build, Albins transmission package and associated specialist labour and supporting modifications.
At the heart of the build is a JM Imports Signature Specification VR38DETT engine incorporating a fully balanced rotating assembly with CP forged pistons, Carrillo connecting rods, a billet crankshaft, CNC-ported cylinder heads, JUN camshafts, uprated valve gear, ACL Race bearings and ARP fasteners throughout. Supporting modifications include HKS timing components, a Tomei oil pump, upgraded cooling system, forged oil control baffle and Boost Logic catch tank. We understand the engine specification was designed to support outputs in excess of 1,500bhp.
Forced induction is provided by a Greddy TD06HR-25G turbocharger package featuring BorgWarner billet compressor wheels, whilst fuel and induction upgrades include an HKS 12-injector inlet manifold, Injector Dynamics ID1700 injectors, Fore Innovations triple-pump fuel system, Greddy enlarged intake system, large-capacity intercooler arrangement and a 102mm GTC titanium exhaust system. Engine management is controlled via a Syvecs S6+ standalone ECU with Toucan display and flex-fuel capability.
The transmission specification is equally impressive, featuring an Albins 1st to 6th gearset, Albins output shafts, Xtreme 18-plate clutch assembly, Dodson ancillary components, upgraded differential bracing, 8,000rpm TCM upgrade and Race Junky transmission software. The vendor advises that the engine build has covered approximately 6,000 to 7,000 miles since completion.
Further enhancements include H&R suspension, upgraded 396mm brake discs with Pagid RS29 pads and lightweight Advan Racing magnesium wheels fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres. Externally, the car benefits from a full 2017-specification front-end conversion, LED rear light upgrade and a comprehensive carbon fibre package including an Xtreme front splitter, Zele side skirts, carbon fender vents, rear valance and Difflow rear diffuser. The car is currently finished in a professional wrap applied by MSL Customs.
Our vendor confirms that the car currently produces approximately 1,070bhp on Shell V-Power pump fuel, with the potential of up to 1,300bhp when operating on race fuel. Additional owner-supplied performance figures include a recorded quarter-mile time of 9.4 seconds at approximately 160mph and a 100-200km/h time of around 3.5 seconds.
Accompanied by a detailed history file including invoices, dyno records, service history and build documentation, including approximately £10,000 of recent expenditure with JM Imports and Race Junky Performance and a remap completed around 2,000 miles ago. Within the history file is confirmation that the speedometer head was changed under warranty on 12th November 2012 when the odometer was reading 24,304 miles. It was indicating 18,327 miles at the time of cataloguing so the total mileage covered is 42,631.
This is an exceptionally well-specified GT-R that appears very sensibly guided when you consider what it would cost to replicate and we encourage your inspection at our Iconic BRDC Collector Car Sale.
