Overview

Asking car fans to pick the best Aston Martin ever made is akin to asking a parent to name their favourite child. Impossible, right? With so many iconic and excellent models produced over the years, from the early DB cars and the V8s of the '70s to the more modern DBS Superleggera and Vanquish, the Aston Martin line-up has consistently been home to some pretty special machinery. It could be argued, however, that the V12 Vantage – built between 2009 and 2018 – is treated with an elevated degree of reverence and favouritism amongst aficionados, and rightly so.

Bold and beautiful the V12 Vantage has classic big engine, small car energy and remains an evocative mix of supercar performance and grand tourer luxury, blending the positives of both genres perfectly. It can be perfectly compliant when required but behave like a snarling beast that's just had its flank unceremoniously whipped at the drop of a hat. With 510bhp on tap the V12 Vantage can dispatch 60mph from parked in just over four seconds before topping out at 190mph and it looks the part, too, thanks to some subtle yet muscular accoutrements (we're looking at you carbon-fibre bonnet louvres).

This particular low mileage 2009 coupe is a bit of a peach and comes with that all-important main dealer stamped service book. The Hammerhead Silver metallic paint presents beautifully and the factory wheels have recently been fully refurbished. Inside, the car features factory carbon fibre and kevlar lightweight seats, as well as additional carbon fibre extras that perfectly compliment the overall aesthetic.

The seller admits a gentle provenance, including a VIP lap of the full Le Mans circuit with other owners prior to the race commencing.

Reportedly driving perfectly with no mechanical faults this Aston Martin V12 Vantage has been recently serviced, has a fresh, advisory-free MOT under its belt and is ready to be thoroughly enjoyed.

Summary

A handsome, V12-equipped coupe with a manual gearbox? What's not to like? With looks, performance and presence in spades the V12 Vantage remains one of the best cars Aston Martin has ever produced, period, and that's saying something of a company that has given us so many exemplary models over the years. We reckon the Aston Martin V12 Vantage is a proper highlight that's actually getting better and better as the years go by and this particular example is an excellent representation of the marque.
