By 1967, the Series 1 had reached the pinnacle of its development, combining the proven 4.2-litre XK straight-six with the purity of Malcolm Sayer's original design before later revisions altered the formula. With its impossibly long bonnet, covered headlamps and unmistakable silhouette, the Series 1 Roadster remains the E-Type in its most coveted and evocative form.

This 4.2 Series 1 Open Two-Seater has been in our vendor's ownership for around 16 years. Restored shortly before he acquired it, the car is accompanied by its Heritage Certificate, along with invoices for genuine Jaguar parts and work carried out by a local specialist.

Although exempt from both MOT testing and Vehicle Excise Duty, it also benefits from a current MOT valid until 20 May 2027, offering additional peace of mind to its next custodian.
