1966 FORD MUSTANG

motodrome offer this utterly splendid 1966 Ford Mustang Fastback automatic, finished in Springtime Yellow with black interior.

For most people, the fastback is the body shape to have, and the 66 model is the classic original incarnation before Mustangs started getting ever bigger and heavier.

This one started life as a 289 V8, but at some point it seems to have been re-engined to a 302 V8.

Fitted with power steering, Wilwood front disc brake conversion, American Racing wheels, B&M gear shifter, inertia reel 3-point front seat belts, and rear seat belts too. Mechanically it has electronic ignition, an alloy radiator, Holley 4-barrel carb, exhaust headers, and an auxiliary electric fan.

It’s important to note that this one hasn’t been a trailer or garage queen – it’s been used extensively since it arrived in the UK and registered here in 2014.

It’s had just two owners since UK registration, the last since 2017, and we understand he used it very regularly indeed, to the extent that it’s covered nearly 30000 miles in his ownership.

It is, in my opinion, a very fine early Mustang, and both looks and sounds superb.

It starts on the button and isn’t temperamental at all – I’d drive it anywhere.
