[HJA Presents: A Properly Maintained Twin Turbo Manual Supra]

Now available at HJA is this 1996 Toyota Supra RZ-S, a car we originally supplied to its only UK owner in June 2022.

He has remained the car’s only UK owner since import and has continued to maintain and improve it regardless of cost. More than £21,600 has been invested during his ownership, covering major preventative maintenance, drivetrain work, servicing, braking and carefully selected upgrades.

The Supra now shows 164,624 km, approximately 102,300 miles. It has no accident history and is supported by an extensive collection of invoices detailing the work completed. When we originally supplied the car, it was recorded at 151,000 km.

[COMPREHENSIVE SRD MAJOR SERVICE]

In March 2023, at 156,071 km, the car was taken to respected Toyota specialist SRD Tuning for a comprehensive major service, inspection and programme of preventative maintenance totalling £4,458.27.

The work included replacement of the Toyota timing belt, water pump, timing-belt tensioner and idler, auxiliary belt and thermostat. The engine oil, V160 gearbox oil, differential oil, coolant and brake fluid were also renewed.

Further work included new NGK Grade 7 iridium spark plugs, fuel filter, front crankshaft oil seal, V160 selector seal, oil-level sensor, breather hoses, rear brake discs and pads, battery and Toyota rear upper suspension arms.

The car also received a full geometry setup and was checked on the dyno following completion of the work. This was far more than a routine service and addressed many of the important age-related maintenance items found on a Supra of this generation.

The investment continued after the SRD work, with annual servicing carried out in both 2024 and 2025.

Further maintenance has included Toyota wheel bearings, gearbox seal work, a replacement propshaft supplied by Future Motorsports and more than £2,100 of additional drivetrain work completed by FourPaw.

A replacement clutch and flywheel were also fitted in September 2025, with the parts and installation totalling £1,690.60.

The result is a properly maintained Supra that has already had a substantial amount of important mechanical work completed.

[INTERIOR AND USABILITY]

The cabin now features a pair of Corbeau RRS reclining sport seats, an upgraded steering wheel, replacement seatbelts, Supratronix floor mats and a replacement gear knob.

Importantly, the original OEM Toyota Supra seats are also included with the car, giving the next owner the option to retain the current setup or return the interior closer to factory specification.

A professionally installed audio-visual system was completed by MC-INCAR, while a GPS speedometer provides a clear road-speed display. The air conditioning has also been re-gassed.

The interior upgrades have been chosen with usability in mind, making this a comfortable Supra to drive and enjoy regularly.
