The second generation Zephyr Convertible is a definitive piece of British motoring history, bridging the gap between post-war European design and iconic American styling

Built by Ford of Britain with coachwork handled by Carbodies in Coventry, only 5,139 were originally produced, and they suffered from a much higher rust and attrition rate than the saloon models

They were powered by an oversquare 2,553cc OHV straight-six engine producing roughly 85 bhp mated to a three-speed column-change gearbox

First registered in 1959, this example has been in family ownership since 2009, forming part of a cherished private collection of British classics, with several companion cars also entered into this sale

Understood to have been the subject of an earlier restoration, the car remains notably well-presented and is reported to be both running and driving
